Brian Goldner

Brian D. Goldner

President and Chief Executive Officer

Brian D. Goldner has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Hasbro, Inc. since 2008. Prior thereto, Mr. Goldner served as the Chief Operating Officer of Hasbro from 2006 to 2008 and as President, U.S. Toys Segment from 2003 to 2006. Prior to joining Hasbro in 2000, Mr. Goldner held a number of management positions in the family entertainment and advertising industries, including as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Bandai America, Worldwide Director in charge of the Los Angeles Office of J. Walter Thompson and as a Vice President and Account Director of Leo Burnett Advertising. Mr. Goldner serves on the Board of Molson Coors Brewing Company. Mr. Goldner has been a director of the Company since 2008.

 

The Board has nominated Mr. Goldner for election as a director because of his success in senior leadership roles at Hasbro, culminating in his appointment as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer in 2008, and his extensive experience and expertise in branded-play entertainment industries and expertise in marketing, brand development and brand building. Mr. Goldner is the chief architect of the Company’s branded-play strategy and brand blueprint and has led the Company’s transformation from a traditional toy and game manufacturer into a global branded-play organization. Since 2000, under Mr. Goldner’s leadership, the Company has conceptualized and implemented its branded-play strategy, imagining and re-imagining core Hasbro brands globally, identifying Hasbro’s Franchise Brands and developing new ways to express Hasbro’s brands through entertainment, digital media and lifestyle licensing. Mr. Goldner has been a key driver behind the Company’s use of immersive brand-driven entertainment experiences, including motion pictures and television based on the Company’s brands, to develop brand recognition and build the Company’s business. Mr. Goldner also led the Company’s significant global expansion into new and emerging markets. The Board believes Mr. Goldner possesses particular knowledge, expertise and experiences regarding strategic and operational planning and execution in the global branded-play entertainment industry, including building global brands and in delivering immersive branded-play offerings; in global branded entertainment industry trends and challenges; and expertise in marketing and product and brand development and delivery in the entertainment and consumer products spaces.

 

Mr. Goldner also serves as an officer and/or director of a number of the Company’s subsidiaries at the request and convenience of the Company.

David Hargreaves

Chief Strategy Officer

As a 30-year veteran of Hasbro, David Hargreaves has been instrumental in growing Hasbro from a smaller toy and game manufacturer to a global branded play company, and a top provider of a vast array of immersive offerings in entertainment, digital games and lifestyle products – all based on Hasbro’s beloved brands.

As Hasbro seeks to strengthen its capabilities beyond toys and games, delving deeper into digital gaming, immersive entertainment experiences and lifestyle licensing, Mr. Hargreaves was appointed Hasbro’s Executive Vice President Chief Strategy Officer in February 2013.  In this newly created position, Mr. Hargreaves will leverage his proven financial acumen and widespread business relationships to drive profitable growth against the backdrop of a rapidly changing global business environment.

Mr. Hargreaves joined Hasbro in 1982 when the company reported $138 million in revenues and has held several positions within finance and operations, being appointed CFO in 2001 and COO in 2008.  As CFO from 2001 to 2008, Hasbro substantially improved its profitability, strengthened its balance sheet, and undertook several strategic initiatives to expand the reach of the Company’s brands into digital gaming, movies and television.  Mr. Hargreaves helped orchestrate the formation of a 50-50 joint venture with Discovery Communications to create The Hub, a new television network for kids and their families that launched on 10-10-10.  Mr. Hargreaves serves on the Board of Directors of The Hub.

Prior to joining Hasbro, Mr. Hargreaves worked in the automotive industry with Ford of Europe where he held a number of positions in finance and strategic planning, and in finance with DeLorean Motor Cars Limited.

Mr. Hargreaves sits on the executive committee of the Board of Directors for the Toy Industry Association.  He is involved with a number of non-profit organizations and has been a board member of the Kent County YMCA and Capital City Community Centers.

Mr. Hargreaves obtained his BA in Business from the University of East London, and undertook post-graduate business studies at the University of Warwick Business School.

Deborah Thomas

Deborah M. Thomas

Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Deborah Thomas leads Hasbro’s global financial operations, including accounting and control, business planning and analysis, internal audit, treasury, tax, investor relations and other key financial disciplines. 


Prior to her appointment in 2009 as Hasbro’s CFO, Ms. Thomas served as Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate Finance for Hasbro.  Ms. Thomas also served as the Company’s Corporate Controller and has held positions of increasing responsibility since joining Hasbro’s Finance Department in 1998.


Ms. Thomas has participated in the due diligence and acquisition teams for almost every major acquisition Hasbro has made.  In addition to her role in corporate finance, Ms. Thomas is an active member of Hasbro’s Global Information Systems Steering Committee.


Prior to joining Hasbro, Ms. Thomas held Assurance positions at KPMG Peat Marwick, LLP from 1986 through 1998, in the United States and in the United Kingdom.


Ms. Thomas serves on the Boards of Directors of SeaWorld Entertainment, Inc., a leading theme park and entertainment company, and several local, not-for-profit groups in Rhode Island including:  the Providence Ballet Theatre, the Rhode Island Public Expenditure Council (RIPEC) and Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC).  She also sits on the President’s Advisory Council of Providence College.  Ms. Thomas was previously a board member of Dorcas Place, an adult literacy center based in Providence, Rhode Island.  She is a member of the AICPA, the Rhode Island Society of CPA’s, and has on occasion advised to the Members in Industry sub-committee of the AICPA.


In 2010, Ms. Thomas was named the 2010 Citizen of the Year by the March of Dimes Rhode Island’s Board of Directors, in recognition for her work to advance the March of Dimes’ mission of improving infant health.


Ms. Thomas has a BS from Providence College, and is a CPA. 

Duncan Billing

Duncan J. Billing

Executive Vice President & Chief Development Officer

Duncan Billing is responsible for leading Hasbro's worldwide product development efforts and IP strategy. Mr. Billing plays an instrumental role in spearheading an innovative and integrated global IP and product development strategy that centers on opportunities to re-imagine, re-invent and re-ignite Hasbro's unmatched brand portfolio – along with the creation of all-new brands and products designed to provide immersive brand experiences to consumers around the world.

Prior to assuming the role of Chief Development Officer in 2007, Mr. Billing was Hasbro's Chief Marketing Officer of U.S. Toys Brands, leveraging his 20-plus years of consumer marketing experience, predominantly in the toy and game arena. During this time, Hasbro significantly grew its business in U.S. Toys through innovation across a strong portfolio of company-owned brands such as TRANSFORMERS, LITTLEST PET SHOP and NERF, while simultaneously spearheading licensing growth opportunities with Star Wars and Marvel.

Mr. Billing first joined Hasbro in 1988 as Group Director, Sales and Marketing, for its UK subsidiary. He later transferred to the U.S., where he held a number of senior-level positions, managing many of the company's world-class brands, including MY LITTLE PONY, TONKA, G.I. JOE, TRANSFORMERS and NERF, among others. In 2001, Mr. Billing became General Manager of Tiger Electronics in Chicago, which created and marketed highly successful toys such as FURBY and GIGA PETS.

He began his marketing career with Unilever in the UK and later joined Kenner Products, then part of the General Mills Toy Group, where he held roles of increasing responsibility in both Europe and the U.S. and managed highly successful brands, including STAR WARS, TRIVIAL PURSUIT and GHOSTBUSTERS.

Mr. Billing holds a Bachelor of Law (LLB) Undergraduate Degree from the University of Southampton, UK.

John Frascotti

Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer

John Frascotti is responsible for leading Hasbro's global marketing and merchandising efforts and growing its vast portfolio of brands through the development of immersive brand experiences. As CMO of Hasbro since 2008, Mr. Frascotti has lead the re-imagination, re-invention and re-ignition of Hasbro's world-class brand portfolio including TRANSFORMERS, NERF, MONOPOLY, LITTLEST PET SHOP, and hundreds of other brands in the company's portfolio.

Before joining Hasbro, Mr. Frascotti was Senior Vice President of the Sport Division at Reebok International Ltd., where he managed the company's largest global business segment. He began his career at Reebok in 1989 as an attorney and in 1990 moved to the product and marketing side of business. Mr. Frascotti held several senior executive positions throughout his career at Reebok including Senior Vice President of the Fitness Division, Senior Vice President, Acquisitions and Licensing and Vice President, Global Sports and Entertainment Marketing.

Prior to his tenure at Reebok, Mr. Frascotti began his career in entertainment law working at top law firms including Mitchell, Silberberg & Knupp in Los Angeles and Palmer & Dodge in Boston.

Mr. Frascotti received his BA in Economics from Yale and his law degree from Harvard.

Wiebe Tinga

Wiebe Tinga

Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer

A 25-year veteran of Hasbro, Wiebe Tinga is responsible for the leadership, planning, direction and control of all commercial activities for Hasbro’s global operating markets.  He reports directly to Brian Goldner, Hasbro’s Chief Executive Officer.


Prior to this position, Mr. Tinga held the role of President, North America Sales and Marketing.  Under his leadership, he improved trade relationships, drove innovative marketing and improved the profitability of the U.S. and Canada segment.  Prior to that, Mr. Tinga served as President, Asia Pacific/Latin America/Mexico Sales & Marketing.  During this time, Hasbro’s market share, profitability and sales volume on its product lines within Hasbro Latin America and Asia Pacific, steadily improved, and secured important gains in key strategic markets, including  Brazil and China. 


Mr. Tinga’s career with Hasbro began in 1987, when he joined the marketing department at Hasbro Netherlands. During the next few years, Mr. Tinga assumed several positions of increasing responsibility in the Benelux (Belgium-Netherlands-Luxembourg) region, ultimately culminating in his appointment as General Manager of Hasbro Benelux in 1993. In 1995, he was promoted again to General Manager of Hasbro’s Northern and Central European Region.


Mr. Tinga is an advisory board member of Northeastern University’s Center for Emerging Markets.  Throughout his tenure at Hasbro, he has been active in a variety of toy industry associations and non-profit organizations across the globe.


Mr. Tinga received his BS in Marketing and Advertising from the Higher Business School for Economic Studies in Utrecht, Netherlands.

Barbara Finigan

Barbara Finigan

Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary

Ms. Finigan is the Chief Legal Officer at Hasbro and is responsible for overseeing a 70-person Legal Department, with offices worldwide. Since joining the Company in 1991, Ms. Finigan has held a series of positions of increasing responsibility, including Senior Attorney, Managing Attorney and Vice President-Litigation, Employment and Compliance, ultimately culminating in her appointment as Chief Legal Officer & Secretary in 2010.

Prior to joining Hasbro, Ms. Finigan was in private practice as an associate with Brown Rudnick, Freed and Gesmer. She is admitted to the Bar in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Wisconsin.

Ms. Finigan is a graduate of Marquette University Law School, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from College of the Holy Cross. Also, she holds a certificate from the Executive Leadership Training Program at the Tuck Business School at Dartmouth College.

Martin Trueb

Martin R. Trueb

Senior Vice President and Treasurer

Martin Trueb is responsible for Hasbro's Treasury operations, insurance activities and order to cash activities that occur after the sale.

Prior to joining Hasbro, he was Assistant Treasurer at Amway Corporation. Mr. Trueb began his career with Schering-Plough in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He moved to RJR Nabisco, Inc. in 1981 and was ultimately promoted to Director, International Treasury through several positions within the RJR Nabisco organization in Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, and New York.

He is currently a member of the International Finance Group and Treasurers Group of 30, serves on the Advisory Board of International Treasurer and is a member of the Governor's Workforce Board of the state of Rhode Island.

Mr. Trueb holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from California State University, Fresno, and a Master of Business Administration Degree, Finance & International Business from the University of California, Berkeley.
