The Hub Announces Key Additions to Advertising Sales Team

(Los Angeles, Ca.) – Brian Wallach and Nicole Cleary have joined The Hub, both reporting to Brooke Goldstein, Senior Vice President of Advertising Sales. Wallach has been named Vice President of Ad Sales Integration, and Cleary joins as Manager of National Sales. The children’s and family television network, scheduled to launch October 10, 2010 (10-10-10), is a joint venture between Discovery Communications and Hasbro, Inc. At launch, The Hub will be available to 60 million U.S. homes.

“Brian’s experience in both digital and television platforms will allow us to take a holistic approach to how we target and develop ideas to reach consumers. He has a unique skill set and we are fortunate to have him part of the team,” said Goldstein. “Nicole has a keen understanding of television ad sales, a strategic approach to business and is a highly motivated individual. They will both be invaluable in driving The Hub to success.”

Wallach is responsible for generating revenue across the portfolio of assets including Hubworld.com and The Hub television network. He brings a significant background in network and cable television and online advertising sales to The Hub’s network and website. His achievements include successfully developing and implementing the online advertising revenue strategies for ABC Family, as well as NBC Universal cable properties USA Network and Bravo. Wallach joins The Hub most recently from AOL. He began his advertising career at Turner Broadcasting.

Cleary is responsible for generating television ad revenue at the Discovery-Hasbro joint venture across a wide array of categories and clients. She is also responsible for all aspects of account service management, which entails supervising a staff of Account Executives and Sales Planners. Previously, Cleary was a Senior Account Executive at Vh1 where she managed significant billings and worked extensively with a number of national clients across a variety of different categories. Prior to her tenure at Vh1, she sold for the Turner Entertainment Networks. While there, she successfully negotiated the sale of national commercial inventory and marketing platforms to New York-based agencies and clients.
